Writing 201 Day Eight: Drawer/Ode/Apostrophe

Today’s Prompt: Drawer

Today’s Form: Ode

Today’s Device: Apostrophe

Hidden

I’ve kept it away somewhere, hidden from watchful eyes

I understand; it is something you despise

But God, I do feel triumphant

Holding your dusty watch

In my hands.

The sheer beauty of it!

You’d wear it every day like it was a wedding ring

I would hear a new sound every hour apart,

Crafting a dance to the beat of your heart.
